Who Has the Cheapest Auto Insurance?
When I decided it was time to buy a car, I wanted to do it as cheaply as possible. It wasn’t that I couldn’t afford it necessarily, but I’d been living without a car for years and I liked not having a car payment or having to worry about insurance.
I moved to the city right after college and realized pretty quickly that I no longer needed a car. Public transportation was pretty easily accessible for work and errands. I lived close enough to a few bars and restaurants that my social life didn’t require a care.
Then things changed, as they do. I got transferred to a new branch and the commute wasn’t as simple anymore. And I was stuck. If I moved to a new apartment, I’d have to drive to work. If I moved closer to work, I’d have to drive to do anything else.
I love my apartment so I decided to stay there and commute to work. This made the most sense because it meant I didn’t have to move, which is one of my least favorite things to do. So, the search was on for a car.
It didn’t take me long to find one, I wasn’t really picky. After all, it was mostly just to drive to and from work so I found a used car that was in pretty good shape at a local dealer. Then, it was time to find insurance.
Finding the cheapest auto insurance
I had no idea what I was doing. Basically, I asked everyone I knew who they had their policies through then scoured the internet to find out the answer to one simple question: who has the cheapest auto insurance?
I found a few really good policies and ended up going with the one that gave me the most bang for my buck, which ended up being very cheap car insurance with no deposit. I mean, you want inexpensive auto insurance but you also want it to help you when and if you need it.
At the end of the day, I was pretty sure I made the right choice. About the car insurance, sure, but also the decision to stay in my apartment. It was really nice not having to wait for the bus on cold and rainy days. Plus, I felt good driving it because I knew I got a great deal on both the car and my insurance coverage.
